Notes: In the museum collection. This rife was acquired from Kopter Supply in Advance, NC. This is the only offering from Chiappa we have in the museum at this time. The LA322 is not a direct copy of the Marlin 39A but appears so outwardly. It is a take down, just like it's inspiration. The internals of the receiver are not the same. To say it is better or worse than the Marlin 39A is a matter of opinion. The fit and finish of this gun is acceptable but not to the standards of the Marlin.
