She is complimented with a Simmons fixed 4X Optics with Butler Creek flip covers.  Manufactured in Remington's Huntsville, Alabama plant, in 2019 Remington discontinued the 597 line up. As of October 2020 Remington's assets were sold as part of a bankruptcy agreement.  The fate of the 597 remains unknown.
